About The Team
Are you passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people?
Warwickshire County Council is seeking two experienced and dedicated Registered Managers to lead our established children's residential homes:
- One Registered Manager for our four-bedded children's home in Stratford-upon-Avon
- One Registered Manager for our dual-registration service comprising a solo home and a four-bedded home in Nuneaton and Bedworth
All homes are currently rated Good by Ofsted, and Warwickshire is proud that 100% of our children's homes hold a Good judgement. Our homes provide safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments where children and young people can thrive, develop resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing residential service which is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people in our care. We are looking for passionate, highly motivated leaders who can continue to develop child-focused practice and drive excellence across our homes.

- Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Guide to the Children's Homes Quality Standards
- Ofsted's Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF)
- Safeguarding legislation and practice
- Relevant statutory guidance and best practice
Now is an exciting time to join Warwickshire as we continue to expand and develop our residential provision while embedding our innovative Families First approach to supporting children, young people and families.
Our model is built on locality working, multi-agency collaboration and strong partnerships with Health, Education, Police and wider community services. We believe lasting change happens when professionals work together to support children and their families.
Our homes operate within a restorative, trauma-informed and therapeutic model of care, supported by dedicated psychological services. We are looking for leaders who can champion therapeutic practice, develop skilled and resilient teams, and create homes where children feel safe, valued and able to reach their full potential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
