About The Role
We’re looking for a supportive, motivated, and inspiring Registered Manager to join our teams in Lewisham and Hackney. This is about more than managing—it’s about making a difference in people’s lives every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead support and care teams to ensure people with learning disabilities and autism receive the best possible assistance, helping them live the lives they choose while meeting:
- Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards
- Funders’ requirements
- Choice Support’s policies and procedures
Collaborate with Deputy Registered Managers, Team Managers, and staff to continuously improve care quality, aligning with the life choices of those supported.
Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations:
- Oversee inspections, identity gaps, and implement necessary improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date, person-centred records based on assessed needs.
Promote independence by:
- Encouraging strong relationships with families.
- Supporting health care, medication, and financial matters while adhering to the Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
- Facilitating connections with community professionals.
Foster a positive team culture, where every member feels valued and empowered.

Develop Deputies by providing mentorship, training, and regular feedback in your absence.
Oversee recruitment, inductions, and staffing to guarantee safe and efficient service delivery.
Manage budgets and staffing, ensuring financial sustainability:
- Align rotas with support funding.
- Maintain cash flow by liaising with the finance team.
Be the primary contact for internal/external stakeholders to:
- Provide information.
- Host visits and assessments.
Maintain accurate, legally sound records, addressing incidents, safeguarding concerns, and resolving issues promptly in line with organisation safeguarding protocols.
Acting safeguarding lead, championing safety across all services.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
✅ Relevant experience:
- Managing CQC-registered care services with a deep understanding of CQC standards, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding principles.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or a commitment to obtaining one).
✅ Leadership and communication skills:
- Strong verbal/written communication.
- Self-managed Ambassador Series principles of leadership (collaboration, innovation, transparency).
✅ Practical experience:
- Managed budgets, staffing, and performance.
- Familiarity with office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and care management systems (Nourish, Zellis MyView, Sona).
✅ Personal qualities:
- Kind, active listening, adaptable, and solution-focused.
- Respects confidentiality and organisation values.
- Eager to grow your career, take initiative, and help shape this new role while creating a lasting positive impact.

Location & Contract Details
- Primary base: Lewisham or Hackney.
- Flexible work location: Permit work from home or at other nearby sites as directed.
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), with flexible shift pattern to match service needs. On-call duties included.
