About the Role
We are seeking an outstanding and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a passion for delivering excellent care at Cygnet Paddocks, our all-male specialist neuropsychiatric hospital in Widnes, North West.
Service Overview
- Supporting the Level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Pathway for Adult Males in the North West
- Specialised care for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions, where behaviours that challenge impair recovery and rehabilitation
- Dedicated, individually designed wards tailored to facilitate recovery for Adult Males with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
Key Responsibilities (Your Day-to-Day)
- Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments & observations
- Collaborate with the management team to develop the service, conduct audits, and improve care quality
- Attend all mandatory training and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Ensure complete & maintained individual care plans under NMC guidelines, working closely with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals
- Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

Requirements
You are the kind of nurse who:
- Is open, compassionate, honest & resilient
- Has an current RMN Pin Number
- Can maintain documentation & conduct audits
- Has a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices
- Is capable of deputising in a clinical leadership role
- Is patient-focussed, prioritising recovery, monitoring & risk management

Working Hours & Rotation
- 42 hours per week, including days, nights, and alternate weekends
- Rota shift
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Shift times: 8 am – 8:30 pm + 8 pm – 8:30 am
