We have opportunities for Band 6 midwives to work in all areas throughout our Maternity Services.

For newly qualified midwives, we offer a comprehensive preceptorship programme with nurturing and support so new Midwives can consolidate their midwifery knowledge and skills.
Flexible working patterns, Full-time/Part-time, Professional development.
The Trust has a dedicated international nursing/midwifery recruitment programme in place; because of this, we ask international midwives to please not apply for our general midwife vacancies.
With births of around 4,900 per year, Bolton is the ‘Supercentre’ for the North West, providing high-quality compassionate care to the women of Bolton, Bury, Salford, and beyond.

What We Are Currently Doing
- Developing a continuity of carer model
- Developing a caseloading team
- Providing high-quality care to high-risk women
- Working towards offering a transitional care service
- Perinatal mental health service to offer a more holistic approach to women with mental health needs

The Family and Diagnostics Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care for maternity, sexual health, gynaecology, and a range of acute and community children’s services. The Division is a Centre of Excellence for Women’s and Children’s services and has a credible and enviable reputation. We deliver over 4,900 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year, making us a specialist provider of health services for women, babies, and their families in the North West Sector of Manchester and beyond.
We are currently undergoing a £32 million complete renovation of our maternity unit, which will include a brand new 8-bedded triage, a new birth centre, and new antenatal and postnatal wards.
