About the Role
Overview
Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen, part of Circle Health Group (Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider), is seeking a Registered Nurse for their ward team to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The role requires a 34.5-hour weekly commitment, operating on a flexible shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
- Assess patient needs, prioritise care effectively, and update care plans as necessary.
- Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in a patient’s condition, and escalate concerns using clinical judgment.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to hospital policies and the NMC Code.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
- Ensure compliance with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies for all care delivered.
- Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following essentials criteria:
- Currently a Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
- Proven experience working in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in IT systems for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
- Previous experience in a surgical specialty is highly desirable but not mandatory.
