Registered Nurse – Dementia Care Specialised Role
(Reconnect Community Nurse)
Location: 📍 Middleton Park Lodge Nursing Home Acre Close, Middleton, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS10 4HX
Salary: £25.57 per hour (33–44 hours/week, combining day & night shifts)

In This Role, You’ll Deliver…
- Person-centred excellence: Develop tailored care/safety plans, risk assessments, and psychosis intervention strategies.
- Empathetic leadership: Mentor care teams through безопасных отношений, assessing and mitigating real risks while valuing “positive engagement.”
- Legislative expertise: Ensure alignment with the Mental Capacity Act, supporting best-interest decisions.
- Clinical thoughtfulness: Coach colleagues on non-pharmacological approaches and reduce psychotropic medication use.
- Compliance & accountability: Uphold NMC standards and Orchard’s progressive policies.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration: Work with families, GP teams, and external professionals to drive resident well-being.

We’re Seeking a Nurse Who…
- ✅ Holds active NMC registration (or is close to return).
- ✅ Brings dedicated dementia experience, especially with neuro-reflective supported living models**.
- ✅ Champions relevant legislation (Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding Adults).
- ✅ Describes scepticism regarding over-reliance on psychotropic medication and kinder interventions.
- ✅ Exhibits organic team leadership—capable of balancing humility with assertiveness.
- ✅ Embodies subtle critical awareness by identifying unspoken needs despite what we say is wanted (vs. what is done so self-evidentially well).
