Position

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse based at Girvan Community Hospital.

Job Share can be considered for this role.


Hours

  • 28.08 hours per week, spanning 7 days (including unsocial hours as required).
  • From 1 April 2026, NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) staff in Scotland will work 36-hour weeks (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a Named Nurse, overseeing the assessment, development and implementation of patient care needs, ensuring high-quality care through regular re-evaluation.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, particularly in the absence of the Ward Manager, to provide essential cover for smooth departmental operations.

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration for the UK.
