Registered Nurse - Renal Dialysis Unit
This post is eligible for a Welcome Bonus of £2,500* (taxable), split into two instalments: one at passing probation (6 months) and the next at 18 months. Alternatively, relocation packages* are available for those relocating to Carmarthen and its surrounding areas.

About the Role
Being a Dialysis Nurse requires dedication, passion, and expertise to balance meticulous technical care with holistic patient support. You will:
- Work autonomously, assessing care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans for patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
- Provide dialysis treatment in Merthyr Tydfil Dialysis Unit, which operates 27 haemodialysis stations serving up to 108 patients, using the latest equipment.
- Work at a 1:3 nursing ratio, supported by HCAs during shifts.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week), with shifts typically running between 6.30 am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities
- Provide individualised nursing care to patients undergoing haemodialysis.
- Monitor and manage patient response to dialysis treatment.
- Conduct assessments and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Work swiftly in a fast-paced environment to meet the needs of multiple patients.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient progress and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
