Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) – Trinity House Care Home, Edinburgh
Location: Edinburgh Position Type: Dayshift (Contract) – 44 hours per week Salary: £22.71 per hour Benefits:

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) at Trinity House Care Home, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, clinically led care within a 55-bed boutique-style residence offering residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering person-centred, safe, and effective care in a supportive environment
- Assessing and reviewing care plans, administering medication, and monitoring residents' physical and mental health
- Leading shifts, guiding the care team, and making informed clinical decisions
- Ensuring consistent, high standards of care in line with best practice
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Collaborating with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to prioritise dignity, independence, and wellbeing

This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, making it ideal for nurses who thrive in a professional and well-led team.
Responsibilities
Key tasks include:
- Maintaining safe and effective practice across shifts
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Administering medication and monitoring compliance/L temos psych/social/cognitive adjustments
- Leading by example and supporting the care team in delivering consistent care
- Promoting high standards through right communication and clinical judgement
- Documenting all care interactions accurately and professionally
- Adapting to changing needs with prompt, decisive responses
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (doctors, social workers, therapists, etc.)
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A current NMC registration (RGN/RMN) with an active PIN
- Strong clinical judgement and the ability to make informed decisions
- Confidence in shift leadership and experience in team coordination
- Excellent communication skills and a great emotional intelligence
- Experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential – we welcome versatile nurses keen to develop in a dynamic environment
