Registered Nurse
Nurse – Intermediate Care Rehabilitation (20 Bedded Ward)
We are seeking a motivated nurse to join our 20-bedded Intermediate Care Rehabilitation ward, caring for patients with frailty and complex needs, including discharge to assess patients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in community or acute settings who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and possessing strong clinical knowledge.
About the Role
We are a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team of experienced community nurses and acute nurses, led by a ward manager. The unit offers:
- Onsite medical cover, including twice-weekly frailty consultant-led clinics and a registrar
- An environment fostering staff development, with opportunities for education, mentoring, and innovation
- A modern, nurse-led unit with scope to further advance both practice and service improvement
- A welcoming and supportive culture, based in the beautiful surroundings of Halstead
As a Registered Nurse within our ward, you’ll:
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate individualised, high-quality care in a timely manner
- Deliver care that respects dignity, privacy, and individual beliefs (religious and cultural)
- Maintain, develop, and showcase *clinical competence in line with the NMC Code of professional conduct
- Ensure high standards of documentation, recording, and reporting while upholding confidentiality
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service enhancements
- Support a learning environment by teaching, training, and mentoring nurses and healthcare students
- Ensure a safe clinical environment through adherence to infection prevention and health & safety standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team
