Registered Nurse - Advanced Diagnostics

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Department: Advanced Diagnostics

Hours: Part-time contract (15 hours per week)

Salary: £44,823 pro rata

Job Summary

The Advanced Diagnostics department at St Joseph’s hospital are looking for a motivated and experienced Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic and innovative Radiology Department on a 15-hour per week basis.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with scrub experience, ideally gained in interventional or procedural settings.

You will play a key role in supporting a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, delivering safe, high-quality patient care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential

  • Registered Nurses (with current NMC registration)
  • Experience as a theatre/surgical scrub nurse
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Competence in calculations and safe administration of medicines and fluids
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of specialist area and procedures
  • Ability to engage in a RESUS scenario of the deteriorating patient
  • Has an active interest in developing own skillset

Desirable

  • Experience in a radiology/interventional radiology setting (Cath Lab experience is acceptable)
  • Competent with venepuncture and cannulation
  • Teaching and supervising skills
