Location Bupa St Mark’s Care Home 📍 110 St Mark’s Road, Maidenhead, SL6 6DN

Salary £22.50 – £24.79 per hour (depending on experience)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Resident-Centric Care
    • Managing the well-being of residents by addressing physical, emotional, and social needs proactively.
  • Leadership & Education
    • Coaching care teams with formal/one-to-one teaching sessions and guiding other professionals.
  • Clinically Driven
    • Conducting assessments to develop, implement, and review individualised care plans.
  • Quality & Safety
    • Auditing unit processes to uphold zero-compliance with policies, standards, and legislation.

  • Lead clinical oversight during shifts, including medication administration, ordering, and evaluations of care plans.
  • Provide guidance to the care team and ensure adherence to best practice.
  • Actively contribute to CQC (Care Quality Commission) assessments—a critical role in maintaining regulatory standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents and families, delivering compassionate, emotionally aware care.
  • Ensure effective handover of clinical duties through clear, structured reporting to colleagues and healthcare professionals.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential

  • Valid NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) PIN registration.
  • Prior experience ensuring clinical policies and industry standards are consistently upheld.
  • Proven ability to lead care teams through (confidence-driven clinical guidance).
  • Empathy, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills for resident/family interactions.
  • Communication expertise—clear handover protocols, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable for Nights

  • Experience managing care independently or in resource-challenged environments.
  • Proven ability to evaluate risks and execute decisions under minimal supervision.
