Marie Curie Bank Registered Nurse Role

As a Marie Curie Bank Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality nursing care.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care needs for patients in a palliative care setting.
  • Ensuring patients live with dignity and comfort through whole-person support.
  • Administering medication and treatment following the NMC Code and Marie Curie policies.
  • Offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.

You'll join a supportive, multidisciplinary team, working under a patient-centred approach supported by evidence-based practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient-centred care.
  • Medication and treatment administration adhering to NMC registration and Marie Curie Guidelines.
  • Emotional, psychological, and spiritual support for patients and their families.

  • £16.40 - £19.97 per hour, based on Marie Curie Band 5 (aligned with AFC).

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • RGN Level 1 registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Recent post-registration nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Compassionate, patient-centred, and flexible approach to care.
