Registered Nurse – Care Home (Part Time)

Location: Fakenham, Norfolk, UK

Salary: £21.50–£22.00 per hour

Hours: 19–40 hours per week (flexible)

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our client’s compassionate team at a family-run nursing home. This vital role is dedicated to delivering exceptional personalised care for residents aged 60+, enhancing their quality of life through clinical expertise and empathy.

In this position, you will:

  • Work in a supportive, family-run care setting that prioritises dignity, respect, and inclusion.
  • Apply your skills to develop personalised care plans that meet individual needs.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Administer medications and monitor chronic conditions.
  • Conduct detailed health assessments and update care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Resident Support

  • Provide compassionate, tailored nursing care in compliance with endurance standards (CQC).
  • Assist residents with daily living activities and health maintenance.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, and family members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate, transparent records and advocate for resident well-being.

Qualifications & Criteria

Required:

  • A valid NMC PIN (Nursing & Midwifery Council registration).
  • Right to work in the UK (or a credible route to sponsorship for qualified abroad nurses).

Essential Experience:

  • Training in care home nursing (shared care settings highly preferred).
  • Experience with medication management or complex care plans.

Soft Skills:

  • Compassion and patience when supporting those with varying needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication to bridge medical insights with emotional support.
