An opportunity has arisen to join the us working part time on a permanent basis in our friendly and supportive Endoscopy team.

Our department has recently opened its new £5m Endoscopy Suite and dedicated training facility. With Educational courses being delivered by our onsite training team and include GI courses in partnership with the University of Plymouth. Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply.

We encourage the opportunity to work in different areas of the service, allowing you to gain experience and knowledge within inpatient and outpatient environments.

As a Registered Nurse with the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, you will be working as part of the multidisciplinary team, to implement and develop a programme of care.

The Endoscopy unit staff are committed to providing high standards of care for the people who use our services, whilst maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times.

To be responsible and accountable for the nursing care of designated named patients from admission to discharge.

  • To participate in the care, maintenance and use of endoscopes used in endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures, providing technical assistance during procedures.
  • To co-ordinate the Endoscopy Unit on a regular basis

The Endoscopy unit at Torbay Hospital has been recognised nationally for its high standards of patient care, recognised as an exemplar site for Endoscopy care, training and Bowel Cancer Screening.
