An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, motivated, and enthusiastic Forensic Staff Nurse to join the team at Beech Ward, based in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

About the Role

Beech Ward is a 15-bed low secure forensic mental health service for men with mental illness and offending histories, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation within a safe and therapeutic environment. The service offers a range of psychological, psychiatric, behavioural, and rehabilitative interventions that support service users in preparing for successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering Care: As a Staff Nurse, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care whilst promoting recovery, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for service users.
  • Team Collaboration: You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a rewarding environment where every day brings new challenges, learning opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful difference.
  • Management Assistance: In addition to providing direct clinical care, you will assist in the effective management of the ward by helping to coordinate shifts and supporting the Charge Nurse and Team Leader in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and responsive service.
  • Role Modeling: You will act as a positive role model, providing guidance and support to junior staff, students, and new team members.
  • Shift Requirements: The role includes a requirement to work a full range of shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
