Band 5 Registered Nurse – Fixed-Term Position for 12 months to cover maternity leave – Fountains Ward (Trauma & Orthopaedics)
Are you a motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and dynamic team?
We are pleased to offer two fixed-term Band 5 registered nursing positions within our friendly Trauma & Orthopaedic team on Fountains Ward.
As a valued member of our dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with a wide range of trauma and orthopaedic needs. You will have the opportunity to enhance your clinical knowledge, develop your professional skills, and gain experience in a fast-paced and rewarding specialty.

Responsibilities
- To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and to provide nursing care for patients. This requires detailed knowledge of equipment and specialised information on procedures undertaken in the clinical environment.
- In consultation with senior staff, the post holder will help plan, co-ordinate, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
- Maintain standards in accordance with ward /Trust policies and procedures and NMC code of conduct.
- Maintain a safe working environment, being aware of the necessity to comply with Health & Safety regulations and the Environmental Health Act, and to attend mandatory training courses.
- Maintain safe custody of all drugs and medicines and when trained demonstrate the manipulation, dexterity and co-ordination of IV drugs.
- To work unsupervised at times, using ward Protocols and Policies.
