Registered Nurse | Wards (Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract) | Hull

Location: Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, Anlaby (near Humber Bridge) Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (6 months)

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their busy surgical wards. Based in a supportive setting near East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, the hospital provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Orthopaedic & general surgery
  • Weight loss & cosmetic surgery
  • Eye surgery
  • Diagnosis & treatment (MRI, CT scans, physiotherapy)

Nurses play a vital role in our team—our key values drive clinical excellence, care, and a collaborative culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and care for patients across a complex caseload, meeting individual needs.
  • Provide post-operative care, including wound dressing, IV management, and drain management.
  • Collaborate in a trusted, attentive team while fostering safe practice.
  • Support professional development, own practice, and that of colleagues.

Person Specification

To apply, you must:

  • Be fully registered with the NMC (no restrictions or conditions on your PIN).
  • Hold a minimum of 6 months’ post-graduation hospital experience.
  • Have prior experience in surgical or acute care settings.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and patient-centred skills.
