Registered Nurse
Clinical Nurse Advisor (Home IV Therapy) – Newcastle upon Tyne & Surrounding Areas
Overview
Are you a passionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse, with experience or a keen interest in IV Therapy?
We are expanding our IV Therapy team within the Nursing department to match our business growth. As a Clinical Nurse Advisor (Home IV Therapy), you will:
- Join a valued Nursing team
- Ensure our patients consistently receive the highest quality service
- Work in a 12-month fixed-term contract (full-time, field-based)
- Serve the Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas
- Salary: £39,076 per annum + £1,203 annual bonus + company car or car allowance.
Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company specialising in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion, and clinical nutrition. Our portfolio includes:
- A comprehensive range of IV generic drugs and infusion therapies
- Clinical nutrition products
- Medical devices for administering these treatments
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the NHS to promote patient independence and enhance their quality of life at home
- Provide caring and support for chronically and critically ill patients requiring:
- Parenteral nutrition
- IV antibiotics
- IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin) therapies
- Monitor and deliver nutritional support in patients’ homes
- Visit patients daily, handling:
- Connections/disconnections to parenteral feeding systems
- Administration of essential nutrients in IV therapy settings
- Facilitate safe discharge of parenteral nutrition patients, in liaison with hospital teams
- Offer ongoing support in the community for:
- Patients
- Carers
- Healthcare professionals
- Manage a patient caseload and fulfil all nursing requirements in alignment with the Regional Nurse Manager
- Adhere strictly to the NMC Code of Conduct and professional nursing practice.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current and valid NMC registration
- At least 1 year post-registration clinical experience
- Full UK driving licence (field-based role)
- Able to work confidently and professionally in one-to-one patient environments
- Flexible, adaptable to business needs
- Strong time-management skills and ability to manage workloads independently
