Registered Nurse - ICU/CC

Registered Nurse – ICU/Critical Care

CALLING ALL CARICOM CANDIDATES

Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) to partner with us in providing medical services to UN-sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers at a field hospital in Port au Prince, Haiti. This is a deployed, rotational contract offering various rotational deployment cycles.


About the Role

The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, where service delivery will take place.

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with:

  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Pre-Hospital Care
  • Surgical Support
  • Diagnostic & Laboratory Services
  • Ancillary Medical Services

Key Responsibilities

While not exhaustive, responsibilities include:

  • Delivering clinical care for peacekeepers requiring ICU-level expertise.
  • Supporting field hospital operations within a critical care setting.
  • Working collaboratively within a small, dynamic, mission-driven team, supported by aspen medical’s international capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational & Licensing

  • Completion of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program (University) or diploma program (3–4 years) after high school graduation.
  • Currently registered by a national nursing board or council to practice nursing in their country or another UN Member State.
    • License must be valid for the deployment duration.
    • In lieu of licensure (if required), submit a letter of good standing from the relevant national authority.
  • Board-certified or post-graduate specialty training by an appropriate body in a UN Member State.

Clinical Experience

  • A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible clinical experience in:
    • General nursing
    • Intensive Care/Critical Care
    • Emergency medicine
    • Health service administration
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a licensed specialist nurse in practice.

Training & Specialized Skills

  • Advanced Acute Trauma Care or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification, obtained no more than *12 months prior to deployment.
  • Must be currently licensed in your home country or another UN Member State to practice independently in your specialty.
