Canberra Health Services (CHS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic Intensive Care Unit. As the ACT's sole tertiary teaching hospital, CHS delivers high-quality, person-centred care to a population of more than 650,000 people across Canberra and the surrounding region.

The Intensive Care Unit is a 36-bed Level 3 Territory Referral Centre, admitting over 2,700 patients annually. With unlimited accreditation from the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand, the unit is recognised for excellence in critical care, education, and research, and participates in international multidisciplinary research programs.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing, the Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert clinical leadership and operational support across the unit. This role is responsible for coordinating patient flow, workforce management, staff performance, and service delivery, while ensuring compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership, sound clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care within a complex critical care environment.

This is a rewarding opportunity to influence patient outcomes, support staff development, and contribute to the ongoing success of one of Australia's leading intensive care services.
