Registered Nurse - Outpatients

Registered Nurse | Outpatient (Mid-Band 5 Equivalent Salary)

Full Time – Shift-Based | Havant, Hampshire

Spire Portsmouth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Outpatient Department on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a clinic environment, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of outpatient services while providing an excellent patient experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run nurse-led dressing and phlebotomy clinics and assist in pre-operative investigations
  • Carry out any other duties delegated by the OPD Manager or team leader to ensure proper patient care and departmental efficiency
  • Chaperone and assist consultants during patient examinations and minor surgical procedures; arrange requested investigations
  • Ensure outpatient documentation is completed to the highest standard
  • Provide individualised nursing care and procedures adhering to hospital policies at all times
  • Maintain and provide patients with relevant, accessible written information regarding procedures and treatments

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice
  • Competence across a range of nursing skills
  • Experience of working in teams with minimal supervision

Advantages

  • Experience in an outpatient or surgical environment (advantageous)
  • ECG and phlebotomy trained (advantageous)
