The Position

The post holder will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a high standard of nursing care, ensuring a safe and well-managed patient environment at all times. In the absence of the senior nurse, the post holder will take charge of the shift, assuming responsibility for the coordination and management of nursing care, while contributing to effective resource management, leadership and staff development.

Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide evidence-based, patient-centred care in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant local and national legislation. The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure patients, their relatives and carers receive a consistently high standard of care.

The position involves supporting and demonstrating leadership within the nursing team, including providing guidance to junior staff and acting as a role model in clinical practice. The post holder will also contribute to the ongoing development of their own clinical skills and will be responsible, when in charge, for the supervision, teaching and assessment of student nurses, junior colleagues and unregistered staff.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
