About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll lead high-quality, patient-centred care in the Women’s & Men’s Centre, supporting patients from consultation to recovery. The role involves:
- Planning and delivering clinical care in line with professional and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
- Supporting clinical procedures, investigations, and consultations with empathy and technical expertise
- Ensuring access to information, education, and emotional support for patients and families
- Upholding infection control, safeguarding, and governance standards
- Contributing to service quality, clinical governance, and improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within the Women’s & Men’s Centre
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in alignment with NMC standards and organisational policies
- Provide personalised support during consultations, investigations, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor and escalate patient concerns promptly and effectively
- Offer education, reassurance, and emotional support to patients and carers
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery
- Adhere to infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and information governance protocols
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and governance activities
- Sustain professional competence through continuous learning and training

About You
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, dedicated RN (Adult) with:
- Active NMC registration
- Demonstrable commitment to exceptional patient care
- Clinical expertise in gynaecology and/or urology, with potential to expand into Enhanced Breast Screening
- Proficiency in essential procedures (cannulation, phlebotomy, IM/SC injections)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support anxious or vulnerable patients
- Competence in electronic patient records and adherence to information governance
- Ability to work confidently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety and accuracy
- Experience and passion for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to learning, clinical excellence, and equality, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare
