Registered Service Manager – Autism & ADHD Assessment Service
Band Career: NHS Staff Grade (Band C / Level 8a) Salary: £50,650 – £55,000 (plus package dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time (37.5h/week, part-time 30h/week may be considered) Location: West Midlands, Hybrid working with Midlands base (some travel required)

Our Clinically Registered Service Manager will lead the development and growth of our Autism & ADHD assessment and intervention service, currently delivered mostly online with occasional community travel. The role requires clinical leadership, team coordination, service oversight, and partnership with MDTs.
You will ideally combine: ✅ Clinical experience (Allied Health Professions/Nursing) + HCPC/NMC registration ✅ Leadership of service expansion ✅ Experience in Neurodevelopmental service leadership (or broader experience with growth potential) ✅ Assessment experience (ADOS, ADiR, DIVA tools preferred, though leadership skills suffice)

Travel required: Northampton work base for meetings/supervision + community visits (full driving licence desirable).
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Development
- Oversee daily operations of MDT teams, rota management, and on-call structures.
- Grow and transform the Autism & ADHD assessment service (hybrid delivery + potential community expansion).
- Ensure clinical excellence in assessments/interventions in line with best practice.
- Maintain financial oversight of service performance.
Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise and mentor team members whilst balancing clinical caseload.
- Foster collaboration with other Outpatients/Diagnostic services (Veterans, Expert Witness, therapy clinics).
Stakeholder Relations
- Build relationships with commissioners, clinicians, and service users.
- Balance operational, financial, and development priorities.
Personnel Responsibilities
- Work under the Clinical Lead for Neurodevelopmental Services as the frontline team manager.

What We’re Looking For
Professional Registration
- Registration with HCPC or NMC.
- Experience working in ASD/ADHD/Neurodevelopmental services (preferred).
Experience & Skills
- Proven clinical leadership in service development/media planning.
- Strong operational, financial, andMDT coordination skills.
- Ability to assists assessments (tools like ADOS, ADiR, DIVA a plus).
- Collaborative approach to cross-team work and continuous professional development (CPD).
Person refrigerant competencies
- Compassionate and respectful communication style.
- High standards for compassion, accountability and excellence.
