About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Support Manager to join our new Birkdale village.
This is a key registered leadership role, responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care and support across the service. You will hold registration for the service and play a central role in maintaining strong regulatory compliance, excellent care standards and a positive experience for residents, tenants, customers and families.
Working closely with the General Manager, Village Nurse Manager and wider leadership team, you will help shape the culture, quality and day-to-day delivery of care at Birkdale.

Salary £52,758

Key Responsibilities
- Hold and maintain CQC registration for the service
- Lead on the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care and support
- Ensure the service meets regulatory requirements, internal quality standards and best practice guidance
- Support the development of strong care, support and household teams
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, medication processes and quality assurance
- Work closely with the General Manager and clinical leadership team to monitor performance and drive improvement
- Promote a culture of dignity, choice, independence and positive risk-taking
- Support recruitment, induction, supervision, performance and development of colleagues
- Build positive relationships with residents, tenants, families, professionals and external partners
- Ensure accurate records, audits, action plans and governance processes are maintained
- Prepare for and support CQC inspections and other external reviews

Requirements
Essential requirements
- Around 5 years of experience in a registered management, deputy management or senior care leadership role
- Ability and willingness to hold CQC registration for the service
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, MCA, DoLS, care planning and risk management
- Experience leading care teams and supporting quality improvement
- Experience delivering person-centred care and commitment to high-quality care
- Experience managing competing priorities in a busy care environment
- Experience working directly with residents and families, CQC inspectors, safeguarding teams and clinical leadership
- Relevant health and social care qualification
- Fluent in English
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable requirements
- Nursing or clinical background
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager
- Experience within older people's care, dementia care, nursing care, supported living or housing with care
- Experience opening or mobilising a new service
- Knowledge of household-style care models
