Registered Veterinary Nurse – Zetland Vets (Patchway & Filton)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Zetland Vets on a full-time basis.
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of patient care while supporting excellent client experiences. This is a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys building strong client relationships, working closely with a sole-charge vet, and taking an active role in the day-to-day running of two branches.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while ensuring excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for:
- The nursing care of a range of first-opinion cases
- Contributing to and upholding clinical standards
- Supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice

Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week across either 4 or 5 days (hours 8 am – 6 pm)
- Location split: Mondays and Wednesdays at Patchway (consults only); Tuesdays and Fridays at Filton (covering ops)
- 8 Saturdays per year (8:30 am – 5 pm; 30-minute unpaid lunch period)
General Responsibilities
- Sole charge of nursing duties across both sites
- Performing critical tasks such as:
- Pet health checks
- Post-operative patient assessments
- Second vaccines
- Anal gland treatments
- Nail clipping
- Wellness consultations
- Quality control and machine operation
- Practice upkeep, including:
- Ensuring cleaning schedules are strictly followed
- Date checking of appointments
- General administration to maintain branch standards
Candidate Requirements
Ideal for… We’re seeking a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse with:
- Full RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
- Clinical practice experience with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Organisational skills and effective workload management
- Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous professional development
- Previous experience working on sole charge
- Ability to travel between sites

Differential Salary: £31,000 per annum (DOE)
