About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated [Registered Veterinary Nurse](https://www.rcvs.org.uk/protected/sites/RCVS_www/files/ RoyalCollegeOfVeterinarySurgeons/fulltext/rcvs-code-guide-practice-version4.pdf%20 ThaiCook_16339628.7.pdf) to join our team at Zetland Vets on a full-time basis.
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of patient care while supporting excellent client experiences. This is a great opportunity for a RVN who enjoys building strong client relationships, working closely with a sole-charge vet, and taking an active role in the day-to-day running of two branches.

Your Responsibilities
Key Duties
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll:
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider team.
- Take sole charge of nursing duties across both locations.
- Provide pet health checks, post-operative checks, second vaccines, anal gland treatments, nail clips, and wellness consultations.
- Ensure quality control and operation of laboratory machines.
- Maintain practice upkeep, including:
- Cleaning schedules
- Date checking
- General administration to boost operational efficiency

Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week
- 4 or 5 days, between 8 am – 6 pm
- Patchway (Mondays & Wednesdays – consults only)
- Filton (Tuesdays & Fridays – covering ops)
- 8 Saturdays/year (30-minute unpaid lunch), 8:30 am – 5 pm
Requirements & Qualifications
To Be a Great Fit, You’ll Bring:
✔ Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS ✔ Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in:
- Medical nursing
- Surgical nursing ✔ Strong communication skills, including building positive client and colleague relationships ✔ Good organisational skills to manage workload effectively ✔ A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement ✔ Experience working on sole charge ✔ Ability to travel between practice sites

Remuneration
£0 - £0 (*Note: The role is filled through intended DOE of £31,000) (Note: Salary is equivocal to industry standards at an entry-level with career progression potential.)
