About the Role
Join our friendly and welcoming team at Yeovil Vets for Pets, where an exceptional opportunity awaits for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse. Our small animal practice, located in a prime spot, features cutting-edge equipment, including an In-house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards, Isolation ward, Digital X-Ray (standard and dental), Ultrasound, ECG, Blood pressure, and Ultrasonic dental equipment.
You'll be working alongside 3.5 vets, 4 nurses, and 5 members of the support team. Here at Yeovil Vets4pets, we retain our team members, and many of us have been here for over 5 years. We often get together to celebrate birthdays and other events throughout the year.
At Yeovil Vets4Pets, we empower our nurses to utilize their skills fully, from admitting cases to in-patient care and anaesthesia through to discharge. We actively support CPD, including training in schedule 3 procedures. Specific interests like consults, inpatient care, diagnostic lab work, and medical and surgical nursing are highly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside a team of vets and support staff.
- Utilize skills in admitting cases, in-patient care, anaesthesia, and discharge.
- Participate in CPD opportunities, including schedule 3 procedures.
- Contribute to consults, inpatient care, diagnostic lab work, and medical and surgical nursing.
About You
We are currently expanding our team and are seeking proactive and forward-thinking individuals who can contribute fresh ideas to our practice's growth and development.
To join our dynamic team, you should bring good general nursing experience, although we warmly welcome newly qualified nurses. We could also accommodate 2nd-year trainee nurses too. Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for animal welfare are essential. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, your application is welcomed.

Work-Life Balance
We are happy to offer full or part-time hours. We understand the importance of a healthy work/life balance and so we are open to discussions and welcome you to come and talk to us about what shifts would work best for you. There will be some weekend work included (1 in 3 Saturday mornings) but no OOH required.
