Job Opportunity

We are seeking a confident, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Waverley Vets on a full-time basis.

About the Practice

Set in the beautiful Surrey countryside with easy access to London and the South Coast, our friendly first-opinion practice is looking for a Veterinary Nurse to become part of our supportive team. You'll enjoy a varied role, from managing inpatient care and running nurse consults to supporting our vets in theatre and diagnostics. As a training practice, we're passionate about developing the next generation of nurses, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to be part of a like-minded team.

Practice Highlights

  • Fully equipped practice, including in-house lab, digital and dental x-ray, and surgical facilities
  • Opportunity to work in sole charge at our small branch practice with an excellent client base
  • Be part of a supportive training practice with student nurses and experienced Clinical Supervisors, where everyone contributes to learning and development

Role Responsibilities

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

  • Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team
  • Take responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases
  • Contribute to clinical standards
  • Support the ongoing development of patient care within the practice

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • 4 days per week, 8:15 am–6:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, split across two sites
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30 am–12:30 pm
  • No out-of-hours (OOH) work

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
