Contract: Part-time, 19.69 hours across Monday & Tuesday and 1 in 4 Saturdays | 12-month Maternity Cover

Competitive Salary: £27,000 - £29,474 (pro rata) depending on experience

Life at Camlas Petcare Vets
Camlas Petcare Vets is a busy, first opinion, small animal practice with a passionate and supportive team of vets, nurses, VCAs, and receptionists. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and ultrasound, along with a team of certificate-holding Vets in surgery and ophthalmology, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. As a training practice, we provide ample opportunities for development through utilising our nurses to perform Schedule 3 procedures if desired and support student nurses in their training.

We are looking for someone to join our team on a 12-month FTC to work 19.69 hours a week across Monday (9am-7pm), Tuesday (9am-6:30pm), and 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:15am-1pm).
Based in mid Wales, the practice benefits from a rural, picturesque setting with access to beautiful countryside and nearby coasts, while having excellent transport links to Telford and Birmingham City Centre.
No two days at Camlas Petcare are ever the same, your responsibilities will include:
- Running nurse consults and clinics
- Preparing for ops and monitoring anaesthesia during surgeries
- Delivering high-quality inpatient care
- Covering the reception area to greet our clients and schedule appointments
About You
We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our Welshpool team. You will:
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day.
- Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
- Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition—ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient
- Learn, develop and grow with us, taking advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities offered by CVS and our practice.
- Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
- Communicate with confidence, use your exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets they love.
