We’re a welcoming and busy small animal practice based in Ipswich Martlesham, and we’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our lovely team. If you enjoy hands-on nursing, working alongside supportive colleagues and building great relationships with clients and their pets, we’d love to hear from you.

We are a locally owned practice based on the Beardmore Park with a wonderfully loyal client base. Since opening in March 2013, we have seen the practice grow from strength to strength which has allowed us to expand our services and welcome new team members. And we were delighted to be awarded PetPlan Practice of the Year 2021.

You’ll be joining our clinical team of 5 vets (2 are practice partners), 5 RVNs, 1 student nurse, 1 VCA and non-clinical staff. We can offer you a great team environment where everyone is always on hand to support each other. We regularly talk through our cases, learn new things from one another and have friendly debates.

Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and you’ll get use of our facilities including digital x-rays, ultrasound, endoscope, in-house lab, operating theatre, separate cat and dog wards and exotics ward. Procedures offered include usual routine surgeries, ex-laps and associated surgeries like splenectomies, gastrotomies, enterectomies etc. BOAS, TTA, TECA. A large percentage of our clients are insured.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
