Registered Veterinary Nurse

Registered Veterinary Nurse – South Lincs Vet Group

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at South Lincs Vet Group on a full-time basis.


About the Location

Our South Lincs Vet Group is nestled between Spalding and Boston in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside. As an RCVS-accredited hospital, we take pride in being fully equipped with all necessary resources to ensure your professional growth.

Our group includes one main hospital and 4 branch locations, staffed by:

  • 17 vets (including certificate holders in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, ECC, and Medicine)
  • A supportive team of 50+ RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, ACAs, along with reception and administrative staff
  • A collaborative workforce ensuring outstanding animal care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will:

  • Become an integral part of the clinical team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and staff to support excellent client experiences.
  • Offer first-opinion case nursing care, contribute to clinical standards, and enhance patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 42 hours per week
  • Rota system (Monday to Friday)
  • 1 in 5 Saturday shifts
  • 1 in 15 weekend night shifts

General Responsibilities

  • General nursing for inpatients
  • Management of referral cases (including orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and emergencies)
  • Assistance with Schedule 3 procedures
  • Radiography, lab work, and consulting shifts
  • Operate x-ray and CT scans and access multiparameter monitoring equipment

Ideal Candidate Criteria

You’ll be a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who:

  • Is RCVS-registered
  • Has clinical practice experience, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills to build positive client and colleague relationships
  • Possesses excellent organisational skills and can effectively manage workload
  • Approaches learning with proactivity, reflecting on challenges while constantly seeking improvement
