Registered Veterinary Nurse

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Full-Time role (30-35 hrs/week) | Bromsgrove Vets for Pets

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an RVN to join our friendly team at Bromsgrove Vets for Pets. We are seeking a proactive nurse for a full-time role (30–35 hours per week), including 1 in 4 Saturdays.


About Us

Bromsgrove Vets for Pets is a locally owned, client-focused practice led by JVPs Lois Wakelin and Lydia Collard. We offer a stable, supportive, and welcoming environment with:

  • 6 veterinarians
  • 5 RVNs
  • 3 receptionists
  • Excellent clinical standards prioritised alongside compassionate client care
  • A large proportion of insured patients, with occasional orthopaedic surgeries

Our bright, spacious, and air-conditioned practice includes:

  • Digital X-ray and ultrasound
  • A dedicated full lab area
  • Separate dog and cat wards
  • State-of-the-art equipment

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

You will provide first-class nursing support in a dynamic veterinary environment, with opportunities to:

  • Work alongside 6 experienced vets and a collaborative RVN team
  • Develop skills in:
    • Routine consulting (comfortably and confidently)
    • Monitoring anaesthesia and post-operative recovery
    • Supporting emergency and elective procedures
    • Client communications and pet welfare advocacy
  • Enjoy a varied workload with insured and high-wellness-case client base
  • Participate in team-based learning through 'lunch and learns' (held bi-weekly)

Ideal Candidate

This role is perfect for an RVN who: ✔ Has good general nursing experience across small animals ✔ Thrives on excellent customer service with insured and repeat clients ✔ Is brainy yet approachable—we value enthusiasm and genuine animal welfare passion ✔ Is confident independently monitoring anaesthesia and handling therapeutic interventions ✔ Enjoys working in a collaborative yet fast-paced team ✔ 1 in 4 weekend shifts required (9 AM–6 PM), but NO out-of-hours (OOH), Sundays, or on-call duties needed
