Vets for Pets Worcester
Vets for Pets Worcester isn't your average vet practice. We've been named Practice of the Year within the Vets for Pets group (2017) and awarded Best Vets in Worcestershire (2024, 2025) — and we've earned those accolades by refusing to stand still.
Under the leadership of Head Vet Jonathan Nicol, who has grown the practice over 15 years into one of the most progressive in the region, we invest seriously in the tools, the technology, and the people that keep us ahead.
Think CT scanning, AI-assisted X-ray interpretation, keyhole surgery, stem cell therapy, and in-house labs — all under one roof. We're also an accredited training practice, which means learning and development aren't just perks here. They're part of who we are.
Our ethos is simple: help every client get the very best care for their pet, within the reality of their individual circumstances and budget. That takes skill, empathy, and great communication — and it's something we take real pride in.
Life at Worcester
We're a team of 30 people, and we genuinely like each other. We socialise, we celebrate, and we have a running list of clubs — book club, movie club, craft club, and more — that reflects just how varied and interesting our people are. If you like the idea of being part of a team in the fullest sense of the word, you'll fit right in here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We work 8-hour shifts with a paid lunch break and paid overtime — rare in veterinary, and something we're proud of. All roles involve 1 in 3 weekends (we're open 7 days a week), and we think that's a fair and sustainable way to work.
