If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a friendly and supportive working environment, then come and join us at Bishopbriggs Vets for Pets! (Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire).

At Bishopbriggs Vets for Pets we are an RCVS PSS (and have been for the past 14 years), an RVN training practice, a Silver Cat Friendly practice and we are currently working towards the Silver Investors in Environment award. To support all of this we have excellent facilities and equipment within the practice which includes a full in-house Lab (Procyte, Catalyst One, InVue Dx, Sedivue Dx) and, ultrasound, digital x-ray, & dedicated dental xray unit, tonometer, patient warmer, fluid pumps, syringe driver and many more.

Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. Two of the nursing team have been with us over 20 years combined, with our head nurse also being a clinical coach who is supporting our employed SVN through their studies. Continuing your learning is just as important to us, and we offer a great CPD allowance to our Nurses. Our collective strength is in anaesthesia, and we are keen to maintain this.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
