Are you an experienced RVN looking for a new challenge or a newly qualified nurse looking for your first role? Do you want to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that truly values its nurses? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Ayr team!

About The Role

We’re looking for a passionate, driven RVN to join our dynamic team across our practices in Irvine, Ayr and Kilmarnock. Our clinics are built on mutual respect, support, and continuous development. You'll be backed by a team that includes a Clinical Nurse Manager and our RVN Business Partner, someone who truly understands your role and values.

At Vets4Pets, nurses are at the heart of what we do. Our team includes RVNs with specialist training in acupuncture, pain management, behaviour, and Schedule 3 surgical procedures. Whether you're leading consults, monitoring anaesthetics, or providing exceptional in-patient care, you'll be empowered to do what you do best.

And yes - we listen to our nurses. That’s why our clinics are equipped with modern tools and tech that help you deliver the best care possible.

A Little Bit About Us

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We have three practices here in Ayrshire, led by four partners - two vets, one RVN, and a practice manager, which means every role has a voice at the table. Our 60-strong team is committed to delivering excellent clinical care and an exceptional client experience.

What makes us different? We genuinely live our values:

  • We treat others the way we’d want to be treated.
  • We’ve got each other’s backs.
  • We laugh, support each other, and communicate openly.
  • And most importantly, we respect work-life balance and individual needs.

We understand that one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why we tailor our rotas and benefits to each colleague, because what inspires one person might not work for another.

Our Clinical Team

Across our three practices, we have:

  • 14 Vets
  • 14 RVNs
  • 3 GPD-trained Clinical Lead Vets
  • 3 Clinical Coach RVNs

We believe in continual development and staying ahead of the curve. You’ll always have a team to lean on, even when you’re not in the same building.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who:

  • Is a qualified or newly qualified RVN with a passion for nursing
  • Brings positivity, energy, and a team-focused attitude
  • Provides outstanding clinical and client care
  • Isn’t afraid to get stuck in, and enjoys a team social now and then!
