Job Description: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Are you a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse, newly qualified or experienced, ready to make a real impact? Join our friendly, dynamic team at Doncaster Vets for Pets, where nurses are at the heart of everything we do. With a spacious, modern practice, a supportive team, and opportunities to grow your clinical skills, this is your chance to thrive in a role that truly values your expertise and dedication.
About Us
We are in an excellent location, close to A1, M1 and M18, 10 min walk from Doncaster town centre. You’ll be joining a friendly team of 3 Vets, 4 RVN's, 2 SVN, 1 VCA, and 5 CCA's.
We have extended through to next door, so we have a lovely big practice with its own dental suit and dental Xray, all the usual in-house goodies (Xray, ultrasound, ECG, in house laboratory etc), 5 consult rooms and 2 prep areas, 1 being for medical cases, 1 for surgical.
We are Practice standards approved and a training practice for student nurses. Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they can fulfil their clinical potential. We have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to lead and manage nurse clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
