About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team at Swayne & Partners in Long Melford. With a proud history of providing exceptional veterinary care across Suffolk, Swayne & Partners is a trusted, community-focused practice where our teams build lasting relationships with clients, patients and each other. Our Long Melford branch offers a welcoming and supportive environment where every team member plays an important role in delivering outstanding first opinion care. We are now looking for a friendly and enthusiastic RVN to join our close-knit team and become part of a practice where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Responsibilities

  • Theatre nursing, surgical preparation and recovery
  • Inpatient care and patient monitoring
  • Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare
  • Client education and supporting owners with their pets’ ongoing care
  • General patient care and supporting the wider veterinary team
  • Maintaining high standards across all areas of practice life

Qualifications

We are looking for an RVN who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and enjoys building relationships
  • A strong team player who is happy to support colleagues
  • Passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care
  • Comfortable working in a true general practice environment
  • Interested in nurse consultations and preventative healthcare
  • Looking for a long-term role within a supportive team

Preferred Skills

You may be a newly qualified RVN looking for a supportive environment to develop your skills, or an experienced nurse looking for a practice where culture, teamwork and work-life balance are prioritised.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week
  • Flexible working pattern across 4 or 5 days
  • Practice opening hours: 8:00am – 7:00pm
  • Potential requirement to join a 1 in 6 Saturday rota at our Bury practice (to be confirmed)
  • Salary: £30,000 – £31,000 depending on experience
