Registered Veterinary Nurse – Blackness Vets (Full-Time)

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Blackness Vets team on a full-time basis.
About the Practice
Blackness Veterinary Surgery is located in the Heart of Dundee in a large newly renovated building, offering various facilities:
- 2 operating theatres (with piped oxygen)
- Imaging suite (X-ray and top-of-the-range ultrasound)
- Dental suite (including Dental X-ray facilities)
- Endoscopy unit
- In-house lab equipment
- Large training room (for regular lunch and learn / team meetings)
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), you’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting exceptional client experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with veterinary surgeons and the practice team
- Providing nursing care for a range of first-opinion cases
- Contributing to clinical standards and continuously improving patient care
Working Pattern
- 37.5-hour weeks
- Monday to Friday (4 days)
- 1 in 6 Saturdays (with TOIL — on-site work when fully occupied)
- No out-of-hours requirements

General Responsibilities
- Conducting nurse consultations
- Performing theatre work
- Assisting with radiographs and laparoscopic procedures (including Schedule 3 procedures)
- Managing lab diagnostics
- Providing inpatient care
- Supporting client queries

- Is passionately team-oriented and committed to high standards of care
- Is RCVS-registered
- Has clinical practice experience, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing

- Demonstrates excellent organisation and workload management
- Takes a proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
