If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a highly valued and friendly team, then we would love to hear from you, here at Peterborough Central Vets for Pets!
This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who enjoys a varied role and wants to work in a genuinely supportive, team-focussed environment where nurses are valued and encouraged to thrive.
Our partners Megan, Adrian, and Joe are dedicated to a supportive culture and recognise their nurses as the central core of the entire team. You’ll also be joining 4 other experienced nurses, 3 SVNs, 4 vets and 4 receptionists. We’re a welcoming and collaborative team that prides itself on having a respectful and positive culture.
Role Details
The role involves a full range of RVN duties within a busy first-opinion practice setting, including nurse consultations, theatre work, anaesthesia and inpatient care. We will fully empower you to utilise your skills and experience through actively supporting nurse clinics and, crucially, Schedule 3 procedures. And we actively encourage skill development and welcome nurses who want to grow their confidence and interests.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
