Clinical Support Lead / Sub-Specialist Role within the Multi-Disciplinary Team
About the Role
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide and further develop care for patients within the service.
- Take an active role in the general workload of the Care Group while maintaining a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of care aspects based on interests and experience.
Work Locations
- PRUH and Orpington Hospital
- Mitigation Review Policy: Post location may change within 3 months of starting the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadowing & Induction:
- Observe consultants in clinic
- Shadow registrars on call and on wards
- Clinical responsibilities and on-call duty only granted post-shadowing period.

Supervision & Teaching:
- Supervise Junior Clinical Fellows (JCFs)
- Participate in regular ward rounds

Clinical Duties:
- Lead and attend electives and fracture clinics
- Participate in theatre lists (elective & trauma)

Audit, Research & Teaching:
- Actively participate in audit activities
- Engage in research opportunities
- Support teaching initiatives
- Frequent educational events within the department
