Job Opportunity
An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Registration Service as a part-time Registration Officer working 3 days a week. The Registration Service is responsible for the statutory registration of life events, such as births, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships; as well as associated roles, such as conducting Citizenship ceremonies and assisting with Family History bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operations with the general office.
- Conduct a range of registration duties, including registering/ officiating at marriage and civil partnerships and the registration of births, stillbirths, and deaths when required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Enthusiastic applicants with a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, and attention to detail.
- Communication skills, sensitivity, ICT, and numeracy skills are fundamental to the post.
- Ability to work effectively and productively as part of a team and on their own initiative when required.
- Commitment to modernisation of services and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Out of hours and weekend working is a requirement of the Service and this post; and is arranged on a rota basis.
- The Authority offers flexible working arrangements within Service demands.
