We're partnering with a global leader in chemical manufacturing to recruit a Regulatory Affairs Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving regulatory excellence across Europe while supporting an expanding international product portfolio.

Working closely with the Director of Regulatory Affairs & Sustainability, you'll lead a talented Regulatory Affairs team, act as the subject matter expert for the European business and help shape the company's future regulatory direction.

The Role:
Reporting to the US-Based Director of Regulatory Affairs & Sustainability, you'll provide technical and strategic leadership across regulatory activities, ensuring products remain compliant while supporting innovation and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading regulatory registration and notification programmes across global markets.
- Acting as the Regulatory Affairs lead for the UK and European paint and resin business.
- Providing expert guidance on BPR, CLP, REACH, and wider European chemical legislation.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and translating legislative change into practical business strategy.
- Supporting new product introductions through proactive regulatory assessment.
- Managing compliant product labelling and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) processes.
- Building regulatory capability through stakeholder training and knowledge sharing.
- Managing responses to technical and regulatory enquiries from international customers.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing the Regulatory Affairs team.
About You:
You'll already be working in Regulatory Affairs within chemicals, coatings, paints, polymers, or a closely related manufacturing environment and be looking for a role with greater influence and broader international exposure.
You'll bring:
- Degree qualified in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Biotechnology, or another relevant scientific discipline.
- Significant Regulatory Affairs experience within the chemical industry.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR)
- Classification, Labelling & Packaging (CLP)
- REACH
- Packaging & Packaging Waste legislation
- Experience interpreting evolving EU and UK chemical legislation and translating regulatory requirements into commercial action.
- Experience leading projects and developing regulatory strategy.
- Previous people management or leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with WERCS or similar regulatory management systems would be advantageous.
