Role: Pensions Regulatory Change Lead

Type: Contract (Inside IR35, initial 9 months)

Location: Wolverhampton, hybrid 2 days per week in the office

IGA are currently recruiting for an experienced Regulatory Change Lead to join a major public sector pension organisation supporting one of the UK's largest Local Government Pension Schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for regulatory change across the Fund, ensuring compliance, technical accuracy, and best practice in outputs, decisions, and advice.
  • Lead the review of regulatory processes, controls, and the control environment, ensuring the team remains aligned with changing legislation, guidance, and regulations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for internal and external technical queries, providing authoritative guidance across administration, finance, payroll, data, customer, and employer teams.
  • Take day-to-day leadership of the Regulatory Change service, organising work to deliver high-quality service outcomes and supporting line management of Regulatory Analysts and the Pensions Apprentice.
  • Coach, train, and develop the Regulatory Change team and wider service area, promoting knowledge sharing, capability building, and a problem-solving culture.
  • Lead regulatory and technical input into pension administration system development, workflows, letters, calculations, and data, working with operations, systems, project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • Experience within LGPS pension administration, or significant pensions administration experience.
  • Expert knowledge of UK pensions legislation and LGPS regulations.
  • Experience leading regulatory change and compliance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of pension administration systems such as Altair, UPM, or Compendia Touch.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and support business-critical projects.
