Position: Legal Expert — Compliance / Regulatory Type: Contract Compensation: $100–$150/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 15–40+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design realistic regulatory scenarios from professional practice, including:
- AML/SAR preparation
- OFAC screening
- FCPA assessments
- Write "golden" reference responses (attorney-level quality) to guide AI model training
- Grade AI-generated responses using structured rubrics to ensure compliance with legal standards
- Provide written feedback to the research team to enhance model behavior and accuracy
- Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions to improve team collaboration

Qualifications
Must-Have
- 1–4 years of professional experience in regulatory or compliance law
- J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the U.S. (active or inactive)
- Strong expertise in AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions screening, FCPA, healthcare regulatory, FDA submissions, privacy, environmental permitting, export control, or administrative hearings
- Exceptional written communication skills with high attention to detail
Preferred
- Certifications such as CIPP, CFE, CAMS, or similar
- Experience in internal compliance investigations
- Ability to draft compliance training programs
- Familiarity with regulatory portals like FDA.gov, federalregister.gov, NLRB.gov, EEOC.gov
