Regulatory Defence Solicitor
The Weightmans Regulatory Department is one of the largest in the country and is recognised by clients, other lawyers and legal directories as being one of the best. We advise clients across all sectors including health, public sector, corporations, law enforcement and individuals.
We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Inquest Defence Lawyer 4-10 YRS PQE to join our Regulatory Core team. The role will primarily focus on managing a caseload of Inquest and broad Regulatory defence work and some criminal files, as well as supervising and supporting junior colleagues. With our diverse offering, inevitably there will both the scope and need for our lawyers to be involved in work for clients outside their core caseload.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Manage a diverse case load of files Supervise case work undertaken by other colleagues Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and Key Performance Indicators are adhered to Work with the Team and department management structures to develop our service delivery Be commercial and acquisitive and actively look for opportunities to develop our business and brand Attend applications and hearings at court, including travel, and accompany counsel where necessary Undertake advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate Hit financial and casework expectations Work collaboratively within the Team and the wider department Comply with relevant policies and procedures Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
