Employer
A regulator of childcare and social services is seeking a Lawyer to join their Enforcement and Appeals team.
Role and Responsibilities
You will join a team providing legal advice on a range of enforcement activity and general public law matters. This will include:
- Conducting advocacy in relation to appeals against regulatory enforcement decisions including suspension or cancellation of registration.
- Other litigation work as required including prosecutions.

You will be responsible for:
- Raising awareness of litigation risks.
- Taking steps to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate those risks including actions at pre-litigation stage.
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders on legal issues.
Candidate
We are keen to see applications from Solicitors with a background in legal aid, criminal law, mental health, public law, or regulatory law. Candidates with 0-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply, but we are also considering candidates who are more senior.
