Regulatory Manager – UK & Ireland (Crop Protection)

The Syngenta Group, a global leader in agricultural technology, seeks an experienced Regulatory Manager to lead registration and re-registration activities for our crop protection product portfolio across the UK and Ireland.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of CP Regulatory UK & Ireland, this is a high-autonomy, influential role where you’ll:
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies for your portfolio.
- Engage directly with UK CRD/HSE and Irish DAFM/PCS.
- Play a key role in shaping the future of Syngenta’s Crop Protection (CP) business in both markets.
- Bridge the gap between authority submissions, commercial priorities, and industry advocacy.
Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Planning, submitting, defending, and maintaining product approvals/registrations with UK CRD/HSE and Irish DAFM/PCS.
- Preparing submissions for new products, label extensions, mutual recognitions, and renewals.
- Managing regulatory strategy and portfolio planning, translating commercial priorities into compliant action plans.
- Staying ahead of UK and Irish regulatory developments, including policy changes and alignment implications.
- Representing Syngenta in authority engagements and industry associations, including active substance advocacy.
- Mentoring Regulatory Specialists and providing technical guidance.
- Maintaining accurate product records in Syngenta’s databases.

** Qualifications & Experience**
We’re looking for candidates with:
✅ Solid regulatory experience with EU Regulation 1107/2009 (or equivalent). ✅ Proven end-to-end track record in registration submissions (strategy → dossier preparation → authority interactions → approval). ✅ Experience managing business-critical deadlines across multiple projects. ✅ UK/Irish regulatory exposure preferred, or EU Member State experience with (or willingness to) develop in UK/Ireland.
Education & Knowledge
- Degree in Science, Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in UK GB PPP Regulation and/or EU Regulation 1107/2009.
- Bonus points for skills in toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate, or pesticide residue analysis.
- Native or near-native English, with fluency in scientific and regulatory terminology.
