Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Raw Materials Compliance

About the Role (Fixed-term position, 12 months)

Reporting to the Global Regulatory Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards for CPL’s raw material palette. The main focus is on maintaining accurate, up-to-date data, policies, and training for regulations affecting raw materials, chemicals, and naturals worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raw Material Data Management
    • Maintain and validate all information stored on CPL raw materials
    • Ensure regulatory consistency and accuracy in CPL’s databases
    • Support integration of new raw materials into the CPL palette

  • Compliance Assessments

    • Conduct COSHH assessments for all materials
    • Respond to queries and requests related to the raw material palette
    • Validate buying samples to guarantee compliance with specifications
  • Regulatory and Policy Updates

    • Update internal procedures and policies to align with group-wide compliance
    • Oversee REACH compliance; identify gaps and propose solutions
    • Implement updates related to IFRA/IOFI labelling standards
  • Stakeholder and Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Assist the sustainability team in assessing responsibly sourced materials
    • Work with internal teams to ensure regulatory filings and database maintenance
    • Provide internal training to colleagues on regulatory requirements, where needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient scientific background (degree or equivalent) is an asset
  • Sharp attention to detail with strong time management
  • Ability to interpret legislative texts and regulatory guidance
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solver with project management experience
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to develop skills and go above and beyond for results
